I was clearing out some digital files this weekend and came across this photo. My mom and dad met the then-governor and first lady of California, Ronald and Nancy Reagan. My dad was a POW in Vietnam and had returned on the first flight of released prisoners at the end of the war and got the hero's welcome back that many veterans didn't. Regardless of politics, I still find this picture pretty cool.
Today would have been my mom's 78th birthday but she died back in November. I miss her and it's good to see her smile again.
