102/365 - purple and yellow photo walk

The wife and I are taking up photography as a hobby. She has a much fancier camera than I do and is much more serious about it. But I wanted something that wasn't my phone camera that I could put a little more thought and effort into ... but I didn't want to spend a ton of money.

I settled on a Panasonic Lumix GF-7. It's a Micro Four Thirds camera which I felt was just right for a light hobby type camera. I really liked the look of this one and it came with the kit lens (perfect for starting out).

We've been taking photo walks with a theme so we can have some focus. Today's theme was purple and yellow. We walked down to Jones Point Park with the dogs. Here is a selection of my favorite edits (keep in mind that I accidentally had a filter enabled in my camera so my after-edits were limited in what I could do):
