Image Playground

I’m generally against AI art because it’s mostly going to be used to put artists out of work. It also devalues the creativity required of a human.

That said, it is fun to play around with some of the image generators. I have no intention of using anything I generate, it’s just fun.

I installed the latest iOS and they’re rolling out Apple Intelligence features. One of which is Image Playground, a generative AI image creator. It’s pretty limited, much of the language I tried to use wasn’t recognized.

I tried to make an avatar for myself. You can pick a face from your photos, but not which images they base the renderings on. I didn’t think any of their options looked like me.

All in all, it’s still very limited which makes it interesting for about 30 seconds.
